Eng. Hany Dahy is the former Minister of Transport, and currently, he is the Syndicate of Engineers. He got a BSc in Engineering in 1977, then a project management diploma at Nottingham University in the United Kingdom. He obtained postgraduate studies in planning and project management at The University of Illinois in the USA. He got postgraduate studies in planning and controlling projects at The American University in Cairo. Dahy served as head of Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) from 2011 until his retirement in 2012. Dahy was also the chairman of Engineering for the Petroleum and Process Industries (ENPPI), in which he succeeded in luring $16 billion projects for the company. Under his leadership, ENPPI witnessed the highest net profit record in 2010, since its establishment.
