EPIC commercial project in the new administrative capital
Mohamed Al-Ahwal, the CEO of Egy Holding for Real Estate Development, said that development on the 700 million Egyptian pounds ($45 million) commercial complex in the new administrative capital began four months ago and will be finished in two phases in 2023.
Al-Ahwal claimed EPIC is the first building in Egypt and the Middle East to achieve the global Fitwel health certification system for the Fitwel building, noting that the project will comprise a commercial mall, office, medical units, and hotel apartments.
The American Public Health Association (APHA), which was founded by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is a healthy building certification system that improves buildings to support health.
The project was designed in-house in partnership with ARCH-Ip, Eelectron, and Daikin, and will be managed by KAD Commercial Property Management, according to Egy's CEO. The building will use 40% less energy and 43% less water than traditional commercial buildings in the country, according to the CEO.
