Wood factory construction project
In addition to Petrojet, the general contractor for the project, the Egyptian Wood Technology Company (WOTECH) has inked another agreement with Siempelkamp, the German technology supplier for the project, to create a medium-density fibreboard (MDF) project in Beheira Governorate.
As a result, the project produces a high-quality local product that is used and required by a wide range of businesses and sectors, including furniture, construction materials, and interior design. The Egyptian Petrochemical Holding Company, the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation, Sidbak, and Petrojet are among the shareholders in the project, which will be constructed with 100% Egyptian cash from the oil sector.
Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla noted that the project, which is expected to cost 210 million euros, is also one of the Ministry of Petroleum's efficient solutions for assisting the country's efforts to change rice straw from a cause of environmental concern. Possibility of commercial exploitation and value addition.
The project is one of the most important projects that the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources plans to implement as part of its plan to expand the petrochemical industry, which aims to establish new projects that contribute to the supply of raw materials and key production inputs for a variety of industries on the local market.”
