New Mansoura city
Mansoura, on the east bank of the Nile's Damietta branch and the headquarters of the Dakahlia Governorate, has long been considered a rural portion of Egypt. For a long time, this city was unappealing to most people, but with the creation of the new city of Mansoura, that is about to change. The town is small.
New Mansoura City is one of the projects led by the New Urban Communities Authority, which was established by presidential decree in 2017 and has already built and reserved a large number of housing units. It is planned to be a modern city with fertile housing units and modern facilities, taking advantage of the Nile's panoramic views.
The new city of Mansoura stretches for 14 kilometres along the coastal road in the heart of Dakahlia, from the city of Gamasa to the Kafr El-Sheikh governorate's borders, putting it 54 kilometres from the old city of Mansoura. The city of New Mansoura will be connected to the old city of Mansoura through an electric railway network, making the commute less than 15 minutes.
