The union was established and established: on 11/12/1995, and joined to work within the scope of the Council of the Arab Economic Unity by Resolution No. 1070/D66 dated 3/12/1997.

The Arab Federation for International Exhibitions and Conferences is one of the specialized Arab federations operating within the scope of the Council of Arab Economic Unity and participates in meetings and conferences held within the framework of the League of the Arab States and Arab organizations and unions.

The Federation is an associate member of the International Federation of International Exhibitions and Conferences.

The Federation was established in 1995 under the auspices of the League of Arab States, to contribute to the development of economic cooperation and increasing trade exchange between Arab countries, by developing the industry for organizing international exhibitions and conferences in Arab countries, encouraging and supporting cooperation between workers in this field in its various forms, and facilitating the exchange of opinions. and information that interests them, and without interfering in the policies of the internal members.

The Federation is keen to implement its activities in coordination with the concerned Arab organizations, in particular: the League of Arab States - Council of Arab Economic Unity - Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture for Arab Countries.

Every organization, institution, body, chamber, or governmental or non-governmental company working or interested in organizing international exhibitions and conferences in Arab countries has the right - to apply for membership in the Federation, and the application is presented to the General Assembly of the Federation.
