- High-level sources revealed that the Egyptian-Chinese alliance “Samcrete - Arab Organization for Industrialization - CCECC, - CRCC” has won the implementation of the high-speed train project in Ain Sokhna - El Alamein, with a length of 543 km, a speed of 250 km and an estimated cost of 9 billion dollars.
- The sources added that the Supreme Committee for the supervision of the high-speed train project (Ain Sokhna / New Administrative Capital / October / Burj Al Arab / Alexandria / El Alamein) has completed the technical offer by choosing the offer of the Egyptian alliance led by the Chinese "CCECC" and started the procedures for opening the financial offer.The Egyptian government had launched an international tender to implement the first express train project in Egypt linking “Ain Sokhna with the Red Sea and the city of El Alamein through the New Administrative Capital”. 9 international alliances had applied to the tender, and a higher committee was formed from the Ministries of Housing and Transport to examine the bids, which was categorized into two alliances, the first had been chosen, and the second is IFEC, the chinastate, CREC from China, the German Siemens, the French railways, Orascom and the Arab Contractors

He added that the high-speed train project “Ain Sokhna - El Alamein” is the second Suez Canal, as it will connect the Red Sea in Sokhna with the Mediterranean Sea in El Alamein in 3 hours, which in turn would contribute to accelerating the pace of development in Egypt through transporting passengers and goods. And he said in a press statement that, for the first time in Egypt since 1854, and under the wise leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, an electric railway line of 543 kilometers long and 250 km/hour is being implemented, linking the Red Sea with the Mediterranean Sea (Ain Sokhna – 6th of October - El Alamein - Burj Al Arab Alexandria) with a length of 543 kilometers, as it is the longest and biggest line in the Middle East.
- "Nazmi" confirmed that there is an agreement with the Chinese partner on joint manufacturing of train cars "in East Port Said through "Nirk" company, which will build a factory to manufacture train cars and transfer the technology to Egypt
