Supreme Fiber AFG Duct Wraps
Description
ROCKAL SUPREME FIBER is a mineral fiber formed by spinning or drawing molten non-combustible and inorganic volcanic basalt rocks treated with another natural additive to produce molten with high content. Description ROCKAL SUPREME FIBER is a mineral fiber formed by spinning or drawing molten combustible and inorganic volcanic basalt rocks that are treated with another natural additive to produce molten with highly stable silica composition content. These fibers are processed with a thermoset and non-combustible resin binder to shape rolls or blankets, confirming EN 13162 & ASTM C 553 & ASTM C 665 & ASTM 592-12. It is a preformed porous and flexible or semi-rigid glass fiber roll with very good performance on thermal, acoustic, and fire insulation. Application Supreme Duct Wrap Sections are used for: Advantages Facing ROCKAL Supreme Duct Wraps are available unfaced or faced to suit the application of Aluminum fiber-glass facing (AFG) . The facing consists of a layer of aluminum foil laminated to a layer of glass fiber material, Supreme Fiber AFG Duct Wraps
usually fiberglass. The aluminum foil serves as a reflective surface, which helps to block the transfer of radiant heat and also tear and fire resistance. The glass fiber layer, on the other hand, provides thermal insulation by trapping air pockets within its structure. Together, the aluminum foil and glass facing create an effective insulation product that reflects radiant heat away from the building and prevents heat from conducting through the material.
